Your perfect ringsize
Important to know:
Everyone’s hands are unique, and so are your fingers and ring sizes. Your ring size is a deeply personal detail but can vary slightly due to changes in temperature. Fingers may swell or shrink depending on the season—warmer in summer, slimmer in winter. Knowing your own perfect ring size is essential to ensure your rings stay secure during daily activities and sports.
I use the EU sizing system for rings, which simply means the size corresponds to the circumference of your finger in millimeters. It’s also important to consider the width of the ring when determining your size. Thin rings tend to feel looser, while thicker designs—such as the ‘Noctua’ or ‘Arma II’ models—will feel tighter. For these wider rings, I recommend choosing a size at least 1-2 sizes larger for a comfortable fit.
Follow the instructions below to find your perfect ring size and ensure a comfortable, secure fit for your favorite pieces.
First technique
How to Measure Your Ring Size Using a Paper Strip
Prepare the strip
Cut a strip of paper approximately the same width as your desired ring and at least 10 cm long.Wrap around your finger
Wrap the paper strip comfortably around the finger where you intend to wear the ring. Ensure it’s not too tight or too loose.Mark the overlap
Use a pencil or pen to draw a line where the end of the strip overlaps the rest of the paper.Measure the length
Unroll the paper strip and measure the distance from the start of the strip to your mark using a ruler.Determine your ring size
The measured length in millimeters is your ring size according to the EU sizing system.
Important Tips:
- Accuracy is key—every millimeter matters. Work slowly and carefully.
- Repeat the process a few times to confirm your measurement.
- Consider the ring’s width when selecting your size. Thicker rings may require choosing a slightly larger size for a comfortable fit.
Second technique
How to Measure Your Ring Size (if you already have a ring that fits you perfectly) Using an App
Download the app
Download the recommended app that allows you to measure your ring size.Set up the app
- Open the app and navigate to the settings.
- Ensure the following settings are selected:
- Units: Millimeters (mm).
- Measurement type: Circumference.
Place your ring
Place the ring you want to measure flat on your phone or tablet screen, centered over the blue circle displayed by the app.Adjust the circle size
Use the slider on the screen to make the blue circle larger or smaller until it perfectly aligns with the inner edges of your ring. Be precise—there should be no gaps or overlap between the circle and the ring’s inner edge.Read your ring size
Once the circle is correctly adjusted, the app will display the corresponding ring size on the screen in millimeters.
Important Tips:
- Double-check the app settings before measuring to ensure accurate results.
- Take your time to align the circle perfectly with the inner edge of your ring.
- Repeat the process with the same ring to confirm your measurement.
